Finally the much hyped YU Yutopia is unveiled today at the launch event held in New Delhi, India. It is dubbed as the “Most Powerful Smartphone on the Planet” and is also the first of its kind smartphone from an Indian manufacturer. It is built out of Aluminum with a gorgeous design.

Well to start this review it does not look like a phone from Micromax. In simple words i must say its amazing and this time a thumbs up for MMX to bring this to us.

I got hands on this device a week ago just before it was launched in india.
It was from US and my friend bought it from there because of his brother who has advised him to get that.
So I was kinda excited to see it!

Canvas turbo mini price drop on Flipkart

Micromax's latest offering the turbo mini is listed for Rs 10,799 (blue) Rs 12,520 (white).Has borrowed its design cues from its own brother the Turbo.

I have created this post because the price of turbo mini has fallen from 15k to 10.8k straight and might interest some people.


Its a Dual SIM, GSM + GSM handset (probably dual standby).Available in white and blue color variants.


Sailing on the Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) will offer a smooth performance.
Loaded with the same 1.3GHz quad core processor as on canvas 2.2 A114 which is a good performer in terms of gaming and benchmark however the display resolution difference will have an effect.


Sporting an 8mp shooter on the back and an 5 on the front. Which seems okay for the price.

Display Sizes 4.69 Inches.With a Resolution of 1280 x 720 Pixels its an IPS Display which generally means better viewing angles and color reproduction.

Gionee launched the Gionee Elife S5.5 in China-Worlds slimmest phone

Gionee today launched the Gionee Elife S5.5 in China, they call it the world’s slimmest smartphone for a reason.
It has thickness of just 5.5mm. Less than any smartphone currently known.
Elife S5.5 sports the thinnest AMOLED Plus screen with corning gorilla glass protection(not known yet possibly CGG2).


The screen size is 5 inches (probably 1080p resolution).It supports single SIM and is powered by 1.7GHz octa core processor following many other octa core handsets.

It runs on Amigo OS 2.0 (customized) which is based on Android 4.2 with 2GB RAM and a modest 16GB storage.
